How to access restricted websites with Google?

This tip will show you how you can use Google Translate as a proxy to access blocked or restricted websites and pages due to a proxy block in your office, school, university or even your country.

We all know that Google is more than a search engine; we use it for email, feed/news reader, scheduling, social networking, mapping and many other services. But do you know that you can use Google as a free proxy service, although indirectly.

Proxy is a device that stands between a PC and the internet, providing all the connections to the world wide web. What a proxy does is to receive all data from a requested site, so when you access web pages all data come from proxy.
How does the trick or technique work?

Most proxies block out websites using domain names. However, when the same website or web page is served from another unrestricted domain name, in this case Google.com, it goes undetected.

We use the Google Translate engine to fetch the original page and then serve it in the language desired. Here we ask Google Translate to fetch a page in English language and translate it into English, thereby giving back a ditto copy of the original page.

All you have to do is to type the following URL into the address bar:

http://www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u=http://pctipsbyanu.tk/

Replace "http://pctipsbyanu.tk/" with the web address of the restricted site that you want to access.

Thanks....
